Do giving circles meet in person or online?
Most of our giving circles meet in person or hold phone calls a few times a year, but some exist entirely online as well.
Where does my money go?
Your donations are pooled with other members of your giving circle and are donated to the 501(c)(3) organization your circle selects. Unless you specify a portion of your donation to support us, Giving Circles Fund does not retain any of your donation for operations.
Who are the other people in my giving circle?
If your circle is public, anyone who shares your philanthropic interests will be able to join. Private giving circles require a password, so the members are probably a close group of friends, family or co-workers.
How often do giving circles make grants?
Most of our giving circles give grants twice annually, but some circles give just once a year and other circles give on a quarterly basis.
I work for/volunteer with/serve on the board of a great 501(c)(3) organization. How can we get a grant from a giving circle?
All of our grantees are nominated by giving circle members. We do not provide suggested organizations to our circles, but rather resources to help giving circle members find potential grantees. However, if you join or build a giving circle, you are welcome to nominate an organization you are affiliated with.
Does Giving Circles Fund have a corporate program?
Our Pro Giving Circles allows any company or organization to engage employees or members in a meaningful, social giving experience. In addition to all of the functionality of the giving circle platform, Pro Giving Circle clients receive a suite of enhanced offerings including brand and URL customization, portal security and additional training and customer support. How do I change my donation amount?
Once you’re logged in, go to your Account Settings, click on the My Giving Circles tab and then click Edit Circle Donation to make changes. Email [email protected] if you have any further questions about your account.
I got an email about a failed donation, what do I do?
Log into the website, go to your Account Settings and click on the Billing Information tab. If your credit card expired or was cancelled, enter your new credit card information. If you recently moved and have a new billing address, you can update that information here as well. Please contact [email protected] if you’re still having issues.
